For Immediate Release
LONDON—08 May 2024—Globalscope Partners Ltd., a worldwide network of middle-market M&A specialists and investment banking firms, welcomed two new members at its 2024 Spring Conference— Consilium Partners of Boston and Tunis-based MCF.
Both firms were voted in at the group’s bi-annual meeting held April 17-20 at the Hilton Odaiba Hotel in Tokyo. Founded by Greg Sneddon, Consilium Partners provides a full range of sector-specialized investment banking services. Headed by Mehdi Sethom, MCF focuses on M&A in the Middle East and Africa.
Globalscope President Martijn Peters said both of the new member firms will play a strategic role in strengthening Globalscope’s international presence.
“Having partners on the ground in each of these markets broadens our geographical reach and deepens our expertise tangibly in both existing and emerging M&A categories worldwide,” he said.
In other conference highlights, Globalscope announced its semi-annual award recipients for top-performing members:
- Most Valuable Deal: Carlsquare, Germany
- Most Active Members:
- 1st Place, Carlsquare, 21 transactions
- 2nd Place, MelCap Partners, Cleveland, Ohio, 7 transactions
- 2nd Place (tie), IFBC, Switzerland, 7 transactions.
- Flagship Deal, in which two or more Globalscope members work together: Corbett Keeling, United Kingdom, and DEX International M&A, The Netherlands.
Diego Hernando Ortega, Managing Partner of Liberdade Capital in Lisbon, joined the Globalscope Board at the Tokyo meeting, where he officially took over as head of the organization’s Marketing and PR activities. Mr. Hernando replaces John Sloan of Dallas-based Sloan Capital, who cycled off the board after several years of service including a two-year term as Globalscope President.
“One of Globalscope’s primary benefits is the personal commitment and connections our members make with each other. Every member is independent, but collectively, we can provide clients with a level of skills and service seldom found in the middle-market,” Mr. Peters said.
The Tokyo conference was hosted by Globalscope’s Japanese member firm, COHEN Partners.
