On June 29, 2022, the Canton of Graubünden announced the acquisition of a shareholding in Repower AG, increasing the canton’s stake to 27.0%. The transaction took place to support the cantonal hydropower strategy. Repower is of great importance as an energy supply company in Graubünden that covers all competencies along the value chain from production, trading and sales to end customer supply. In addition to supporting the negotiations, the focus was also on the valuation of the shares of Repower AG in the sense of a decision-making basis for the attention of the government council.
