SinterMet, LLC (“SinterMet”) is a worldwide leader in the engineering and manufacture of tungsten carbide and powder metallurgy tool steel rolls for use in rod and bar mills. The Company is the North American market leader of the tungsten carbide mill roll market. MelCap Partners, LLC (MelCap) served as SinterMet’s exclusive investment banker and financial advisor in the sale of the business. MelCap developed and executed on a thorough sell-side process to find the most logical buyer for SinterMet. Through this process, MelCap was able to successfully identify the ideal buyer for the business. As a result, SinterMet was sold to V&A Capital, a leading private equity group that owns a variety of industrial businesses some of which are complimentary to SinterMet.
