Boehm Pressed Steel Company (Boehm or the Company) is a privately held middle market manufacturer of deep drawn metal parts and stampings primarily for use in the appliance, automotive, mining, consumer products, industrial equipment, and railroad industries. Boehm was a successful, multi-generational family business without a family-member successor in place to operate or run the business. The Shareholders wanted to implement a plan for an exit strategy, while ensuring the Company could operate, grow, and continue to be a great place to work once the Shareholders were no longer involved in the business. MelCap Partners implemented a multi-step approach designed to help the Shareholders reach their goals and objectives. This process provided the Shareholders with liquidity and an exit strategy, as well as continued support for the Company’s strategic growth plans. Boehm was ultimately sold to Validor Capital, a successful private equity firm located in Boca Raton, FL. Validor was able to meet the Shareholders objectives to achieve liquidity, and to bring additional resources to support the business going forward.
